The double-sided design is actually genius for my long-haired boy, the wide teeth get through his tangles without the yanking drama, then the fine side finishes him off smooth. Only took a few minutes and he didn't try to claw me once.

The wide teeth side works great on the tangles behind my cat's ears, and the fine side leaves her coat looking smooth. Only gripe is the handle feels a bit thin when I'm working through thicker knots, but for the price it does the job.
