My nervous rescue flinches at regular brushes, but this pin pad is gentle enough that she actually relaxes now. The pins glide through her wiry coat without snagging, and it took a few minutes off our grooming routine.

The palm grip fits my hand well but the pins feel a bit scratchy on my nervous spaniel's wiry coat. It does the job on tangles, though I still have to go slow around her legs. Not bad for the price, just not as gentle as I'd hoped.
