Product Description

Ancol Variable Whistle is an important tool for any serious dog trainer.

This whistle has a pitch that can be altered to suit both dog and trainer.

Whistles are wonderful training tools for dogs for several reasons.

Firstly, whistles can be heard more clearly than the human voice, particularly on windy days.

Unlike the human voice, the whistle will not convey panic, frustration or weariness and so sends an unambiguous signal your dog will not struggle to understand.

The pitch adjustment actually makes a difference—my terrier responds way better to the higher setting than the fixed whistle I used before. Solid little training tool, and it's loud enough to carry across an open field without blowing my ears out.

Took a few tries to find a pitch my spaniel actually responds to, but the adjustable dial makes that easy enough once you get the hang of it. Plastic feels a bit light for the price, though it's held up fine clipped to my jacket on wet walks.
